Sunshine

I had been experiencing mental block lately for scrapbooking. Somehow, when I started scrap for little Sin Keat, all my creativity comes back instantaneously. Again, my habit in starring at his photos is unstoppable.

Cute Snapshots

This page was started totally on the spur of the moment. I couldn't stop starring digital photos of my little nephew I took whilst I went back to KL in September, 2008. Therefore, I decided to print out the cutest amongst all photos and cramped them all into one page.

Mother & Daughter

This piece was created to celebrate my special bond with my mother. Hand sewing was adopted for the first time in this piece throughout my personal scrapbooking history. I had also taken time to burn the edge of some of the papers used.

First Born

This page was definitely created out of love. I cannot stop staring at my little nephew, Sin Keat.

This was completed within 3 hours. One of those work which I can finish within such short period of time and very happy with the results (Yes. Three hours is a short time in my term when it comes to scrapbooking).

Baby Boy

Technique involved: (1) matting; (2) embossing; (3) tearing; (4) paper edge inking; (5) rub-ons; (6) eyelets; and (7) brads.

Water

The most challenging bit of this page is perhaps the cutting of the photo (by using a good old fashion pair of scissors). The rolled up scroll was also cut and 'lifted' up with 3D stickers at the back. This is my first page where I used my own handwriting for journaling.

Paris

The paper selection was just perfect for this theme. No fancy techniques used here. Just some good old matting and pasting of letters and embellishments. Though the splash of paper flowers and buttons style was used for the first time by me in this page.

We Kick Ass

Very fond of this page. Again, a lot of matting technique used here.

Foxy

The trick of this page is colour combination given that the patterned paper is colourful by itself. Not much complicated technique involved. Just good old matting technique, stickers, embellishments and sewing of a button.

Family

Again, the technicality involved in this page is not particularly complicated. Just some good old matting skill and cut & paste of various embellishment.

Perfect 10

This is another page created with used Chinese New Year cards and the matting paper is Chinese paper cutting art.

Presents Time

This page was created from used Christmas cards.

Edinburgh

The main technique used here is matting. Fairly simple layout but the selection of patterned paper holds the key to the conceptualization.

Burj Al Arab

I kept this page very simple. The papers combination is the main feature of this page.

Friends

There are so much I want to tell vide this page and that explains the clutter (not quite my usual style). I find the colour combination is not ideal but very often, I get positive feedback from all my viewers. I suppose its the plentiful of messages displayed which gives this page the attraction.

Seychelles

This page took me a whole Sunday afternoon to conceptualize. It was one of those early pages created when I first started scrapbooking. The right side paper with leafy prints was cut out from Kinokuniya bookstore magazine. The top two photo matting were sourced from old brown boxes.

Friend

Technique used: (1) tearing; (2) burning; (3) matting; and (4) letter stamping. I salvaged an old daisy earing and made it an embellishment. The main photo frame was a cut out from a magazine.
